Email Setup Guide for Windows 2000Whether you're continuing from Windows 2000 Networking Setup or running Outlook Express for the first time, you will see the Internet Connection Wizard. Select 'Create a new Internet mail account' and click "Next": On the next screen, enter the name you want displayed to the recipients of your email messages, then click "Next": Enter your email address, then click "Next": On the next screen, verify that 'POP3' is selected as your incoming mail server type. Enter 'mail.yourdomain.com' for both Incoming (POP3) and Outgoing (SMTP) mail servers, replacing "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name. Then click "Next": IMPORTANT: If you have a problem using your domain name as the Outgoing Server, please check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to see if they allow external email to be sent through their network. Many ISP's are now blocking Port 25 and/or requiring you to register your external email with them in order to be able to send out. You may have to use your ISP's outgoing server (SMTP) settings to be able to send email. Type in your POP3 login (account name) and password, click the 'Remember password' checkbox if you want Windows to remember your password (and prevent you from having to type it in every time). Your Account Name maybe the email address or it may be just the first part of your email, please contact support to get your Account Name. Then click "Next": Select whether you'd like to connect immediately, then click "Finish": That's it! You're ready for action.
